DAN BLUE VOTED ON TO FIRST BANK BOARD OF DIRECTORS

First Bancorp and First Bank (Nasdaq: FBNC), the fourth largest bank in North Carolina, has elected Dan Blue to its Board of Directors.

First Bank operates 91 branches in three states.  Seventy-seven of those branches are in North Carolina and 13 are in the 13-county Research Triangle Regional Partnership region. First Bank’s headquarters are located in the town of Troy, which is located about 90 miles southwest of Raleigh.
